A donor-advised fund allows you to give back to a cause that’s close to your heart. It’s an opportunity to put your charitable dollars to work – where the need is great – but on your own terms. Thus, you have flexibility to tailor your philanthropic giving in easy, cost-effective ways.

Indicate whether your gift is unrestricted or designated to a specific cause. You can also designate Healing Hearts Vietnam as a beneficiary for your donor advised fund.

It is estimated that over 20,000 Vietnamese children are currently awaiting treatment for Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Most of these children are from ethnic minority households who are unable to access life-saving care due to their rural locations in remote villages and low income status.

Each year, 1 out of every 100 babies are born worldwide with CHD. CHD is the leading cause of birth defect related infant death. Early intervention is key to increasing survival rates, and while many courageous steps have been taken to advance the care of CHD globally, not everyone has access.

over 450 lives saved

To date, Healing Hearts Vietnam has worked to bridge the gap between the cost of surgery and the totality of funds available to the patient from social insurance and private sources, to provide life saving cardiac surgery to over 450 Vietnamese children at the incredibly low cost of $750 per surgery.
